These are some questions and topics I have been asked about before. They may not, strictly speaking, constitute "frequently" asked questions.

What was the focus of your doctoral dissertation?

I examined participatory democracy in schools through a study of school participatory budgeting in a large school district. The dissertation is organized into four distinct manuscripts. Feel free to check any of them out on the Portfolio page.

What types of research do you do?

I am an expert in research methodology. My specialties are in participatory action research and narrative research.

Why did you decide to create Education As Life?

As a community worker, organizer, graduate student, researcher, and classroom teacher I noticed that many of the frustrations we experience as parents, citizens, and educators stem from our difficulty to consider our lives as a coherent whole. One of my strengths is identifying challenges and designing strategies to meet them within and across individual, collective, and institutional levels.
